Ten cards are counted and removed from the deck. They are alternately placed face up and face down onto a spectator's hand. They are placed back on the deck.

One more time they are alternately placed face up and face down onto a spectator's hand. The spectator has a free selection of any of the face up cards. He is instructed to turn his card face down in the mixed up pile. He then cuts the deck anywhere and the mixed pile is inserted at the break. The spectator places the other half on top and burries the pile in the center.

The deck is now spread and ALL THE CARDS ARE FACE DOWN EXCEPT THE SPECTATOR'S CHOSEN CARD!
